This is our new, modernized splitting axe. A sturdy, well-balanced axe suitable for medium to large logs. The redesigned wedge shape and added weight ensure penetration through the wood. The blade is concave to reduce potential kickback. This allows it to penetrate the wood easily and holds the logs straight enough to move them without the axe getting stuck in the log. While the added weight allows for deeper penetration into the wood, special care was taken to ensure the axe does not feel heavy in the hand. The handle is slightly curved and shaped to combine perfect balance, control, and power in the swing. Its design is inspired by classic Swedish splitting axes. The axe is hand-forged from high-quality steel in the Hults Bruk forge. We offer a lifetime warranty on the axe head. With proper care, the axe will be a faithful companion for many years.
